1. Acceptance
If you do not agree to these Terms or the Privacy Policy, do not register or use the app. Registration requires explicit consent to data collection under India's DPDP Act, 2023.
2. Eligibility & registration
- You must be a resident, owner, tenant, or society-approved vendor with a genuine connection to the society
- You must provide accurate name, flat/unit, tower/wing and contact details
- Access is granted only after admin approval — the society may reject or revoke access at any time
- One account per person; do not share login credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to register, or registered by a parent/guardian with society approval
3. Purpose of the app
One Stop Society helps your apartment community with:
- Notices, events, discussions and emergency contacts
- Member directory and important links
- Internal marketplace (flats, bazaar, services, carpool)
- Visitor pre-registration and amenity bookings (where enabled)
- Society assistant (AI chatbot) for common questions
Features available to you depend on your society's configuration and your membership status.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app responsibly, in line with society bylaws and Indian law. You must not:
- Post false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or obscene content
- Harass members, admins or vendors
- Share another person's private contact details without consent
- Upload copyrighted photos, documents or media without permission
- Spam, advertise outside approved categories, or solicit members for unrelated commercial schemes
- Attempt to hack, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload the app
- Impersonate another resident, admin or vendor
- Use the app for illegal activities (including unlicensed brokerage if your society forbids it)
Automated profanity and moderation tools may flag or block content. Society admins have final say on approvals.
5. Marketplace, vendors & member transactions
- Marketplace posts (sell/rent flat, bazaar items, services, carpool) require admin approval before going live
- Listings are visible to society members only — not the general public
- Transactions, payments and service quality are strictly between members (or member and vendor). The society and app operators do not guarantee outcomes, safety, pricing or legality
- Flat sale/rent posts are community classifieds — verify documents, RERA compliance and society NOC rules yourself
- Approved vendors must follow society admin rules and any commission or promotion terms set by the MC
6. Visitor & amenity features
- Visitor entries you create may be shared with society security/admin for gate access
- You are responsible for accuracy of guest details
- Amenity bookings must be honoured; repeated no-shows may lead to restrictions by admin
- These features supplement — do not replace — physical security procedures unless your MC has formally mandated the app
7. Content ownership & licence
- You retain ownership of text, photos and other content you post
- You grant the society a non-exclusive licence to display, store and moderate that content within the app for community purposes
- The One Stop Society name, SocietyBot install label, OS badge, UI design and software code are protected — do not copy, rebrand or redistribute without written permission
8. Society assistant (AI chatbot)
- Answers are generated automatically from app data and may be incomplete or incorrect
- Do not rely on the assistant for legal, medical, financial or emergency decisions
- For urgent matters (security, fire, medical), call emergency numbers or society security directly
- Do not share passwords, OTPs or sensitive financial details in chat
9. Admin moderation & suspension
Society admins may approve, reject, edit or remove posts and suspend or terminate access for:
- Pending verification or false registration details
- Violations of these Terms or society rules
- Complaints from other members
- Legal or safety requirements
10. Payments & contributions
Event contributions and UPI payment links are initiated by members or admins. Payments occur in third-party UPI apps under those providers' terms. The app does not process card or bank payments directly unless a future feature explicitly states otherwise and complies with RBI rules.
11. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" for community convenience. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law:
- We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free service
- Member-posted listings, vendor services and directory information are not verified by default beyond admin approval
- Operators are not party to disputes between members, vendors or third parties
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the society, its managing committee and app operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of member-posted information, offline transactions, visitor entry errors or AI assistant responses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your profile under the Privacy Policy. The society may terminate your access when you move out, violate terms, or when the app is discontinued — with reasonable notice where practicable.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes should first be raised with your society managing committee. Courts in the city where the society is located shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
15. Changes
Terms may be updated when features or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated via the app or society notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
